Hexa Blades

Hacksaw blades, commonly referred to as Hexa Blades, are thin, narrow cutting blades designed to be mounted on a hacksaw frame for manual cutting of various materials. They are widely used in workshops, construction, plumbing, and household tasks.

  • Material: Typically made from high-carbon steel (HCS), bi-metal (HSS edge + flexible body), or tungsten carbide for heavy-duty cutting.

  • Length: Standard sizes are 250 mm (10”) and 300 mm (12”), with mounting holes at both ends.

  • Teeth per Inch (TPI): Available in 14, 18, 24, 32 TPI, depending on the material being cut.

    • 14–18 TPI → suitable for cutting softer materials like aluminum, brass, and plastic.

    • 24 TPI → general purpose (steel pipes, rods, profiles).

    • 32 TPI → thin sheet metal and precision cutting.

  • Coating: Often painted or powder-coated (blue, black, or red) for rust resistance and easy identification.

  • Mounting Holes: Oval/round holes at both ends to fit securely into a hacksaw frame.

  • Cutting Action: Designed for forward stroke cutting, ensuring efficiency and durability.
